Importing VM wilds and AD integration

So i am new to vOneCloud and am looking for a product that will give me a multi tenant, self service, catalog based portal that both internal IT and customers can use to deploy new workloads. It looks like it will do what i want but i am really confused as to what is is trying to do when a vm created outside of vOneCloud is imported. I assumed it would just import it as is and i could assign an owner and we can do showback, vm management etc? It seems to want to match it to a template but they werent created originally by template. What do the tempaltes have to do with it and why does it need to import the datastores? where does bit fit in with importing the vm's? Also struggling to get it connected to our Active directory. I assume you add the AD config in and then create a new user and it mpas it to your AD user?

Importing Wild VMs do not import any VM Template, nor match to it. Can you show us the error that indicates this.

Please open a different topic for this.

Hi,

I have just picked a couple of vm's to import and after about 5 minutes (or longer sometimes) i get the following message at the bottom right of the webpage as like a popup

Wild with ref vm-870 could not be imported Error creating disk from template: Net::ReadTimeout
