Guest Contextualization Issues

Morning Communitiy

While evaluating the great new release i noticed some customization does not apply .  I have on a template level set the model of vCenter vNIC to virtualvmxnet3 but i still get E1000 . I did install the contect msi inside the windows VM and VMtools are current . I tried applying virtualvmxnet3 on two places under template editor . Default and just hardware model , none appear to stick , always E1000 .

resultant code looks like this set nic , and setting default nic for the entire template :

Set on Hardware Tab under networking >

NIC = [
  MODEL = "virtualvmxnet3",
  NETWORK_ID = "0",
  OPENNEBULA_MANAGED = "YES" ]

Set at the bottom on VM template ( default MODEL for all NICS )

NIC = [
  NETWORK_ID = "0",
  OPENNEBULA_MANAGED = "YES" ]
NIC_DEFAULT = [
  MODEL = "virtualvmxnet3" ]

Also I cannot find the VM Name value to set the GUEST name to
the same value as the VMname in vCenter , is there a way or is
this only an option when using vCenter customization .

Hi,

Which vOneCloud version are you using? Is this still happening in vOneCloud 3.4?

Please try 3.4 as this is solved in newer releases.
