Thanks for your feedback, we included the request in the roadmap:
Custom Template Logo
Feature request to allow custom images used for Templates ( Turnkey Linux for example ) without having to regenerate the minified files.
Image upload option under Template Update perhaps?

That's great, thanks!
Exactly the question I was going to ask. Those Turnkey VM appliances make great templates, but a custom icon would just add a little bit of polish.
I've found that you can actually do this in v1.8, although not particularly eleganty.
Create your logo in PNG format (90 x 96 pixels or thereabouts).
Upload this to the vOneCloud VM to /usr/lib/one/sunstone/public/images/logos
Make sure you do a chmod +644 on the PNG files you upload
In the VoC admin console, update your template, and get everything the way you want. Select any of the built in logos. Then update it once more, and switch to Advanced view.
Look for the LOGO= line, and change it to; LOGO="images/logos/<mylogo>.png
Save the template, then logon in Cloud View. You should see your new logo against your template. I've done this for a bunch of Turnkey appliances now, and they look great.
As I said, not very elegant, but it works. Hopefull we'll get proper custom logo options in an upcoming release.
Cheers Tony, good find! It was'nt a major gripe to be fair so we may wait on that one. But still struggling with the customization aspect, will revisit that one, we suspect it's down to VCAS.
Anyway, thanks for posting bound to come in handy.
Thanks for the pro tip Tony, we will streamline the process as described in http://dev.opennebula.org/issues/3495
