Unable to import datastore from VMware vcenter

Hello,

we are trying vOneCloud in our test enviroment.
At the moment we are unable to import the Datastores from the vcenter.
If we import them we get the following error message:

"[DatastoreAllocate] Parse error: syntax error, unexpected VARIABLE, expecting EQUAL or EQUAL_EMPTY at line 4, columns 83:90"

If we change the datastore the same error message occurs but with other columns...
All datastores are connected using iSCSI. We also tried a direct attached one.

Any ideas? We are using vOneCloud 2.2.0

Regards
Manuel

Hi Manuel,
let's see if we can debug your issue.

If you use Chrome or Firefox try to connect with vOneCloud User Interface, and open the Development Tools (Ctrl + Shift + I).

Then with the development tools opened try to get the Datastores, not importing them just get the list of available datastores.

Look in the Network tab of the Development Tools

Browse the requests found in the Network tab and look for a query that starts or contains datastores?:

Click on the URL you should see a JSON response generated by vOneCloud.

Could you please post the text contained between curly braces (JSON)?

That will help to debug what prevents the datastore to be imported. Before posting check if the text contains sensitive information that you don't want to share.

Also a final question what's the name of the datastore you're trying to import?

Cheers!

Hi Miguel,

here are the results:

{"LTN":[{"name":"DAS_ESXi8_Datastore","total_mb":1136896,"free_mb":1110320,"cluster":"LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN","one":"NAME=DAS_ESXi8_Datastore\nDS_MAD=vcenter\nTM_MAD=vcenter\nVCENTER_CLUSTER=LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN\n"},{"name":"ISCSI_stor15-target2_10GE_TEST","total_mb":511744,"free_mb":510767,"cluster":"LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN","one":"NAME=ISCSI_stor15-target2_10GE_TEST\nDS_MAD=vcenter\nTM_MAD=vcenter\nVCENTER_CLUSTER=LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN\n"},{"name":"ISCSI_stor15-target1_10GE_TEST","total_mb":10485504,"free_mb":10100238,"cluster":"LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN","one":"NAME=ISCSI_stor15-target1_10GE_TEST\nDS_MAD=vcenter\nTM_MAD=vcenter\nVCENTER_CLUSTER=LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN\n"},{"name":"DASESXi6","total_mb":1136896,"free_mb":1135918,"cluster":"LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN","one":"NAME=DASESXi6\nDS_MAD=vcenter\nTM_MAD=vcenter\nVCENTER_CLUSTER=LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN\n"},{"name":"ISCSI_stor7-stor8-target2__10GE_HA","total_mb":3997440,"free_mb":3928870,"cluster":"LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN","one":"NAME=ISCSI_stor7-stor8-target2__10GE_HA\nDS_MAD=vcenter\nTM_MAD=vcenter\nVCENTER_CLUSTER=LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN\n"},{"name":"ISCSI_stor7-stor8-target3__10GE_HA","total_mb":4569600,"free_mb":4486998,"cluster":"LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN","one":"NAME=ISCSI_stor7-stor8-target3__10GE_HA\nDS_MAD=vcenter\nTM_MAD=vcenter\nVCENTER_CLUSTER=LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN\n"},{"name":"ISCSI_stor11-stor12-target5_10GE_HA","total_mb":2582016,"free_mb":2140967,"cluster":"LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN","one":"NAME=ISCSI_stor11-stor12-target5_10GE_HA\nDS_MAD=vcenter\nTM_MAD=vcenter\nVCENTER_CLUSTER=LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN\n"},{"name":"DAS_ESXi7_Datastore","total_mb":1136896,"free_mb":1135918,"cluster":"LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN","one":"NAME=DAS_ESXi7_Datastore\nDS_MAD=vcenter\nTM_MAD=vcenter\nVCENTER_CLUSTER=LTN Cluster 3 - KUNDEN\n"}]}

The name of the datastore is for example DASESXi6 or ISCSI_stor15-target1_10GE_TEST.

Thanks for your support!

Hi Miguel,

now I have renamed the name of the vCenter cluster - just deleted the blanks in its name. And it seems i could import a datastore :-)

Hi Manuel!,
Awesome. I'm glad you found the issue, vOneCloud does not currently support spaces in cluster names... but spaces in cluster and datastores names will be supported it in the next release.

Cheers!
